(Adams Center, NY – July 20, 2010) On July, 19, 2010, approximately 11:40PM, Jefferson County 911 dispatched the State Troopers to the Nice and Easy Grocery Store, Route 177, Adams Center, NY, for a report of a 19 year old male, who was at that location, with apparent gunshot related injuries to his left arm.

The victim, identified as Quinton E. Bauer, of Watertown, NY, was transported by South Jefferson Rescue, to SMC Hospital in Watertown. Bauer was treated and released, with non-life threatening injuries.

The subsequent investigation identified the person that shot Bauer as Brandon M, LaDue, age 21, of 18214 ST-177, Apt 5, Adams Center, NY. LaDue was taken into State Police custody at about approximately 11:30 AM on State Route 11, Watertown Center. A shotgun was used to perpetrate this crime, and said weapon was later recovered by Troopers.

LaDue was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. LaDue was arraigned in the Town of Adams Court, and committed to the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail / $100,000 bond.

The motive for this criminal act by LaDue appears related to a dispute between a LaDue family member, and the victim.
