			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>(Watertown, NY - July 02, 2010)On July 2 New York State Police, Watertown, were assigned to conduct checks at local retail establishments to ensure compliance with existing laws that prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. These checks were completed using an operative, who was less than 21, that when asked, would provide identification that clearly identified this operative as a person that could not purchase alcoholic beverages.</p>
<p>As a result of these checks, the following businesses were checked, and were found to be in compliance, failing to sell alcoholic beverages to the less than 21 year old operative:</p>

<p>The New York State Police were assisted with this investigation by the Fort Drum Federal Police Department, and Military Police, as well as support from the Jefferson County District Attorney.</p>

Obrien </strong>of 8435 South Main St. Evans Mills, NY on a sealed indictment out of Jefferson County Court charging him with one count of Grand Larceny 3 and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd.</p>

<p>Numerous images of children less than 16 years old engaging in sexual conduct were secured. The complaint was called in by Xicara and Frederick Hockenberry same address.</p>
<p>Coleman lived with his wife at the Hockenberry residence on Eldon Dr.</p>
<p>Coleman was issued an Appearance Ticket to return 03-22-10 Town of Leray Court at 7-00 PM.</p>
<p>Coleman was turned over to Fort Drum authorities.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>(Le Ray, NY &#8211; January 15, 2010) On Jan. 14, 2010 at around 9 p.m., State Police responded to a two-car collision at the intersection of Route 11 and 26 in the town of LeRay.</p>
<p>The investigation revealed that Bobbie J. Monaghan, 39, of Watertown was traveling west on Route 26, operating a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche. Monaghan failed to stop at the red traffic light and proceeded into the intersection striking a northbound 2000 Ford Taurus, operated by Kelly A Peck, 43, of Gouverneur. Monghan struck the passenger side of the Peck vehicle causing fatal injuries to front seat passenger Kathleen H. Deyo, 44, of Gouverneur.</p>
<p>Also in the Peck vehicle were rear seat passengers James Kriegel and Dawna Kriegel, both of Gouverneur. Monaghan was charged with first-degree vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop light.</p>
<p>Monaghan was arraigned in the town of Leray Court and committed to Jefferson County Public Safety Building with bail set at $50,000, pending court action.</p>
<p>Kelly Peck and James Kriegel were treated and released from SMC Hospital in Watertown.</p>
<p>Dawna Kriegel was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.</p>
<p>State Police were assisted by the Evans Mills Fire Department, Jefferson County District Attorney Office and the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office.</p>

Evans Mills, NY 13637 on 1 count of Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child a Class D Felony. A search warrant was executed today on the Perez residence based on evidence gained by the New York State Police Computer Crimes/ Internet Crimes against Children Task Force with the assistance of the FBI. Numerous images of children less than 17 years old engaging in sexual conduct were secured. The incident occurred on 04-21-09. Perez was arraigned before Town Justice Richard Baker Town of Pamelia Court and ROR&#8217;d pending Grand Jury action. Fort Drum (Criminal Investigation Division) CID also assisted in the investigation.</span></div>

<p>State Police in Alexandria Bay along with the State Liquor Authority conducted checks at two establishments on Friday night, September 04, 2009.   </p>
<p>Mike’s Tavern in Antwerp, NY was checked for underage drinking and other violations of the State Alcohol Beverage Control Law. Two people were arrested for possession of cocaine. They are, Robert P. Lacerte, age 23 of Philadelphia, NY, and Frank G. Pickert Jr., age 31 of Antwerp, NY. </p>
<p>Both subjects were issued appearance tickets returnable in the Village of Antwerp.</p>
<p>Mike’s Tavern violations are pending State Liquor Authority investigation. </p>
<p>Another establishment checked was The Last Call in Evans Mills, NY where no violations were noted.</p>

<div><strong>(Evans Mills, NY - June 17, 2009)</strong> &#8211; <span lang="EN">State Police in Watertown with the assistance of the Watertown Police Department arrested 26 year-old, <strong>Dion D Thomas</strong>, of 33200 CR 18, Town of Theresa, Jefferson County for Assault 2nd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest stems from a domestic dispute with his girlfriend that occurred on</span></div>
<div><span lang="EN">May 26, 2009 in the Village of Evans Mills. It is alleged that Thomas struck Ann Gates in the head with a metal bar during the dispute that left Gates unconscious with a laceration to the head. Thomas then left the residence while the couples 8 month old child who was inside the residence. </span></div>
<div><span lang="EN">Thomas was arraigned in the Town of Pamelia Court and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. </span></div>
