(Watertown, NY – Nov. 16, 2009) The New York State Police in Watertown arrested Jeremiah C. Collins (10/01/82) 43812 Stine Rd, Redwood, NY at about 4:45 AM on 11/16/09.
Collins is alleged to have entered the residence of Ernesto Ortega on SR-3 in the Town of Leray and stole a phone. Collins further entered Ortega’s truck stealing a back pack containing a lap top computer and several DVD’s.
Collins was located directly behind the Ortega residence by responding Troopers. Collins was also found to have been in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested and transported to SP Watertown.
Collins intentionally damaged property within the Watertown State Police Station. He was charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Possession of Burglary tools, Petit Larceny, Criminal mischief 4th degree, and unlawful possession of marihuana.
Collins was arraigned before Town of Pamelia Justice Baker and remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety building in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
