(Town of Orleans, NY) The New York State Police Orleans Interstate Patrol arrested Jan T. Zielinski, age 50, Gananoque, Ontario, Canada for DWI, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation – 1st degree, and Failure to Keep Right.
On 01/08/10, at approximately 2:09 PM, Zielinski was north bound on I-81 in the Town of Orleans, attempting to pass another vehicle, and lost control of his vehicle and slid into the median. Subsequent investigation revealed that he was intoxicated and had a suspension in New York for a pending prosecution of another DWI arrest.
He was processed at SP Alexandria Bay with a Blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent and arraigned in the Town of Clayton court. He was committed to the Jefferson County PSB in lieu of $1000.00 bail.
