Ecstasy Arrest at the Thousand Islands Port of Entry

The New York State Police in Alexandria Bay arrested Kien D. Nguyen, age 29, of Delta, British Columbia for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a class A Misdemeanor, on Monday, October 19th, 2009.

Mr. Nguyen attempted to enter the United States of America at the Thousand Islands Port of Entry, and during a routine secondary inspection by US Customs and Border Protection Officers, was found to possess one tablet of Ecstasy in a prescription pill bottle. USCBP turned Mr. Nguyen over to the NYSP, who arraigned him in the Town of Orleans court. Mr. Nguyen pled guilty and paid a $420.00 fine, and was returned to US Customs and Border Protection.
