(Philadelphia, NY – March 27, 2010) The State Police in Philadelphia, New York are investigating a two car personal injury accident that occurred on State Route 11 in the Town of Philadelphia at approximately 5:45 pm.
Cory Haynes, 31, of St. Regis Falls, NY was driving his 2007 Saturn northbound on St-11 when a 1999 Pontiac driven southbound by 20 year old Justin Peterson of Stapleton, Neb. crossed the center line and struck him head on.
Peterson was extricated from his vehicle with the Jaws of Life and airlifted by Fort Drum helicopter to Syracuse hospital.
The occupants of the Haynes vehicle were transported to Samaritan Medical Center where they were treated and released.
The investigation is on-going.
