Speeding Violation Leads to Unlawful Possession of Marihuana Arrest thumbnail

The New York State Police at Alexandria Bay arrested Jeffrey D. Ward, age 37, of County Route 27, Lisbon, NY today for Speeding and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.
Mr. Ward was observed speeding at 45 MPH in a Posted 30 MPH Speed Zone on US Route 11 in the Village of Philadelphia.  Upon being stopped, a marihuana pipe was observed in plain view, and a subsequent search disclosed less than 25 grams of marihuana secreted in a cigarette box in the center console.
Mr. Ward was issued tickets for Speeding and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana returnable to the Village of Philadelphia Court on 10/28/09.
