The New York State Police in Watertown with the assistance of the Village of Brownville Police Department arrested Brian J. Gunn (05/26/77), 237 East Main St, Brownville, NY.
Mr. Gunn is alleged to have unlawfully entered the residence of Tyler A. Thorigal at 235 East Main St, Brownville, NY on 10/07/09 at about 12:15 AM.
Once inside the Thorigal residence, Mr. Gunn punched Mr. Thorigal and Andrew T. Thorigal several times in the presence of a 7 year old child. Mr. Gunn later sent several threatening text messages to Andrew Thorigal.
Mr. Gunn was approached by Officer Larry Jobson, Village of Brownville Police Department, at about 3:35 PM, while investigating a Trespass complaint. While Officer Jobson was interviewing Mr. Gunn he became enraged and threatened to turn his pit bull dog loose on Officer Jobson.
Mr. Gunn was charged with Burglary 2nd degree (C felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A misdemeanor), Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and 3 counts of Harassment 2nd degree (violations).
He was arraigned in the Town of Adams court before Judge Shaw and remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
