On Wednesday, 11/25/09 at approximately 9:45 AM, Stephen Smith of Watertown, NY, was operating a Chevrolet Blazer northbound on CR-95 at the intersection with SR-177 in the Town of Rodman, Jefferson County. Mr. Smith failed to yield the right of way to Bruce J. Roggie of Croghan, NY who was eastbound in a Lewis County tractor trailer enroute to the transfer station. The tractor-trailer continued off the left shoulder, striking the guide wires and then overturned. Mr. Smith declined medical treatment at the scene of the accident and Mr. Roggie was transported to a Syracuse hospital where he was released after being treated for minor injuries.
